A Little History to Begin…
In the 17th century, France underwent a cultural revolution with the emergence of fashion as a symbol of luxury and refinement. At the forefront of this movement were Louis XIV, the Sun King, and his minister Jean-Baptiste Colbert, who shaped the contours of unparalleled elegance.
Louis XIV, by transforming Versailles into a true sanctuary of fashion, imposed stylistic norms that captivated nobles across Europe. Flamboyant outfits and luxurious fabrics became must-haves for anyone wishing to secure a place in the royal circle. Each garment became a statement of power and taste.
Jean-Baptiste Colbert, for his part, viewed fashion as an economic lever. By supporting silk manufacturers and artisans, he transformed Paris into the fashion capital, attracting creators and enthusiasts. Thanks to his reforms, France established itself as the crucible of textile innovation, and fashion became a thriving industry.
Thus, the partnership between Louis XIV and Colbert extended beyond mere style: it elevated fashion to an art of living, shaping French identity for centuries to come. Paris, as the cradle of chic, firmly established itself on the European stage, celebrating beauty and elegance at every corner.
When I presented "Cabana 29 the Perfect Wardrobe" to my friends, they were enthusiastic. I then requested honest feedback on my website. Some of them told me that it was crucial for me to introduce myself and to really open up. The idea of revealing myself is not something I particularly enjoy; I don’t like being seen, to which they asked me, "Why?"
Indeed, that is a good question to which I will try to answer honestly.
I prefer to operate behind the scenes, focusing on what’s essential and evolving in the background, where I find satisfaction in adding my personal touch without necessarily being in the spotlight.
My "less is more" approach allows me to emphasize simplicity and authenticity in everything I do. I enjoy finding clear and meaningful solutions, highlighting what truly matters. My goal is to inspire and help others shine while remaining true to my discreet nature.
I am deeply attached to words. Reading and writing are for me a source of escape and emotion, shaping and expressing my creativity. These literary journeys subtly influence my work as a source of inspiration, ideas, and impulses.
Like the one to define what I mean by "the perfect wardrobe." It’s not about encouraging you to make excessive purchases or transforming you into a fashionista; quite the opposite!
My journey in the fashion world began in a multi-brand boutique in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Paris. Each piece was meticulously selected for its timeless and essential character. I crafted bespoke silhouettes while respecting my clients' budgets and also highlighted the alternatives and the often-overlooked treasures they undoubtedly had in their own wardrobes.
Throughout my career, I have always advocated for an approach based on trust and authenticity, rejecting the notion of selling for the mere pleasure of closing a deal. Before advising my clients, I strive to deepen my understanding of their expectations to meet their real needs, and this holds true when I am in the showroom.
And indeed, this brings me back to my early steps in the showroom, with a designer who has definitely left an indelible mark, defined an era, and above all, inspired me profoundly, much more than I would have imagined.
Do you want to discover my journey? To learn more about me… then I invite you to read the portrait of a groundbreaking designer who encouraged women to celebrate their individuality and to embrace a style that truly suited them.
I have a strong taste for stories, which are not limited to just books. Every creation, whatever it may be, carries within it a message, an aspiration, a desire to communicate and share…
